Lambda USB Test v1.1 and v1.2 (Mac OS X) 1) This program shows you all the remote control commands that can be sent through a Macintosh USB port to a Lambda 10-B, 10-3 and SC controller. Version 1.1 of the program ("LambdaUSBTestv1_1_MacOSX.zip") is compatible with Mac OS X v10.1 and above. Version 1.2 of the program ("LambdaUSBTestv1_2_MacOSX.zip") introduces a feature which renders it incompatible with Mac OS X v10.1 -- it will run only under Mac OS X v10.2 and above. 2) Copy the application file "LambdaUSBTestv1_1_MacOSX.zip" or "LambdaUSBTestv1_2_MacOSX.zip" as appropriate to your system from the CD, or download it from the Sutter Instrument Co. web site. Save the file on your desktop or in any directory on the hardware to which you have read/write access. 3) Extract the contents of the .zip file by double clicking on its icon. If you have the unzipping utility installed on your system, a file called "LambdaUSBTest" (of type "Application") will be created in the same location containing the .zip file. 4) Launch the LambdaUSBTest application by double-clicking on it. Note that this application will not be able to successfully communicate with the Lambda controller connected to one of your system's USB ports until after the USB device driver for Mac OS X ("FTDIUSBSerialDriver.pkg.hqx") is installed. 5) Because this program works with 3 different kinds of Lambda controllers and all different configurations, please select "Get Status" command first to initialize the controller status. 6) For any command selected in the application, press "Send To Controller" button. 7) By default, you can select a different wheel or shutter command, or Free Run repeat number & timer to send to the controller. 8) Any control item in the application, which shows or contains "NC" or "None" (or is disabled (grayed out)), means that the control or parameter is not available for the Lambda controller currently connected, or is not available for the controller's current configuration. For example, "Free Run Parameters" (repeat number and timer) are only enabled for the Lambda SC controller. For users of the Lambda SC: 1) This version of the Lambda USB Test application for Mac OS X does not have implemented the feature "Save CONFIG to file" or "Load CONFIG from file" (this feature is, however, fully implemented in the Windows version "Lambda SC Utility").
